Beliefs
Our beliefs reflect historic, biblical Christianity and shape how we worship, teach, serve, and live together as a church family.
Prairie Creek is part of the Global Methodist Church and affirms the authority of Scripture and the historic creeds of the Christian faith.
Prairie Creek Statement of Beliefs
What We Believe
God
God created the world and loves the people He made. He is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and He is good, holy, and personal.
Because God is love, He doesn’t stay distant. He knows you, sees you, and invites you into a real relationship with Him.
We believe God is at work in our world today, and we can trust Him with every part of our lives.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He lived, taught, died on the cross, and rose again.
The Gospels — Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John — tell His story. Jesus is alive, and through Him we find forgiveness, new life, and hope.
The Holy Spirit
Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to guide and empower His followers. When we place our faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit works in us — giving wisdom, conviction, encouragement, and strength to grow.
At Prairie Creek, we welcome the Spirit’s work in our worship, teaching, and daily lives.
The Holy Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the authoritative guide for faith and life. It reveals who God is, what He has done, and how we are invited to live.
The Bible points us to Jesus and the hope of salvation.
Salvation
We believe every person has been affected by sin, which separates us from God and shapes our lives in destructive ways. We cannot rescue ourselves by effort or goodness.
Salvation is God’s gift of grace through Jesus Christ. Jesus lived, died on the cross, and rose again to defeat sin and death and to make a way back to God.
When we repent and put our faith in Jesus, we are forgiven, made new, and welcomed into God’s family. If you have questions about following Jesus, we would love to talk with you.
Communion & Baptism
We celebrate Communion regularly in worship, remembering Jesus’ sacrifice through bread and cup.
We baptize infants, children, and adults as a sign of God’s grace and our commitment to follow Christ. Baptism marks the beginning of a life of faith within the church community.
